MED-Project CA, LLC ("MED-Project") provides home-generated sharps waste removal services pursuant to Cal. Pub. Res. Code § 42030 et seq., 14 CCR 18972.1 et seq., and its approved product stewardship plan for home-generated sharps waste ("Removal Services"). MED-Project enters into agreements with local agencies to provide Removal Services at designated household hazardous waste facilities ("Facilities"). If "Local Agency" (identified below) would like to begin receiving Removal Services at Facilities before executing a Removal Services Agreement ("Agreement") with MED-Project, it must agree to the following terms.

1. Local Agency authorizes MED-Project and its Removal Services vendors to provide Removal Services at the Facilities.
2. Local Agency maintains a safe environment at the Facilities and will provide access to the Facilities and instructions to the MED-Project designated Removal Services vendor necessary for providing the Removal Services.
3. Local Agency maintains and operates the Facilities, including collecting, storing, or transferring home-generated sharps waste, in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and other legal requirements.
4. Local Agency agrees to supervise and escort the MED-Project designated Removal Service vendor at all times while the Removal Service vendor performs services at the Facilities under these Interim Terms.
5. Local Agency is authorized to agree to these Interim Terms on behalf of the Facilities.
6. Local Agency will immediately enter into good faith negotiations to establish an Agreement with MED-Project for Removal Services.
7. These Interim Terms terminate upon the earlier of: (i) Local Agency and MED-Project executing an Agreement providing for Removal Services; or (ii) 90 days from the date Local Agency agrees to these Interim Terms unless MED-Project agrees in writing to extend the Interim Terms.
